Although Corum is known for unorthodox designs such as the Coin, Bubble and Admiral's Cup, Corum's masterpiece is the Golden Bridge. Designed in 1980 by independent watchmaker and ACHI co-founder Vincent Calabrese, this delicate, slender movement remains a horological feat today.

Literally, the movement’s bridges and main plate are made of solid 18K gold – either white or rose, depending on the case. The bridge plates are hand-carved with pronounced vertical grooves, reminiscent of the Art Deco style.
While the movement is undoubtedly the highlight, the way the dial is constructed is unusual. These indexes are applied manually along the rails that support the movement, which Corum calls a “floating belt system.” Since the watch has no dial, the hands are suspended only by guide rails and appear to "float".
