Miesho Brown

Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

My Story

Before becoming the Owner/CEO of Everyone Deserves A Chance, Mieshio's journey as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist began at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. During his time there, Mieshio served as Department President for two years, Vice President the following year, and was a Chairperson of Depart Fundraising.

Shortly after obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree from Morris Brown College, Mieshio began working for a neurodevelopmental therapy center. It was there that Mieshio found his natural gift of working with children with Autism. As a therapist Mieshio noticed a gap that needed to be filled in the programs offered by service providers. He felt that often the services offered were not addressing these client needs and developed his own unique therapeutic programs that implemented his knowledge of recreation therapy, behavioral interventions, social skills training, and independent living skills. As a result of his treatment programs, he observed clients becoming physically regulated and maladaptive behaviors were greatly reduced. Additionally, clients gained more control of their bodies, their focus and following of directions improved, and several other positive outcomes were reported to him by families. This feedback was confirmation that Mieshio needed to start his company, Everyone Deserves A Chance.

Since the opening of EDAC, Mieshio has built a reputation as a service provider to neurodivergent individuals and their families. He is a passionate and dedicated professional who strives to give everyone a chance at a better quality of life.
